You Can Live Forever (Mark Slutsky & Sarah Watts) Drama follows a lesbian teenager who’s sent to live in a Jehovah’sWitness community, where she falls in love with a devout Witness girl. Before the Sword Play about T. H. White posits that his inspiration for The Sword in the Stone came from a young man who wandered into his life. At the NCTC in San Francisco, Sept. 15–Oct. 15. Hidden Master: The Legacy of George Platt Lynes (Sam Shahid) Docu. about the photographer best known for his celebrity and fashion photos, whose secret passion was photographing male nudes. The Lost Boys (Zeno Graton) Belgian drama set in a juvenile reform center focuses on two young, male inmates who fall in love just as one of them is about to be released. OurSon(Bill Oliver) Drama stars Billy Porter as half of a gay couple that’s going through a nasty divorce, including a battle for custody of their precocious 8-year-old son. Passages (Ira Sachs). Drama with Ben Whishaw starring as half of a gay couple whose marriage is thrown into crisis when his partner starts a passionate affair with a woman. Rock Hudson: All That Heaven Allowed(Stephen Kijak) Docu. offers an intimate portrait of the Hollywood “ladies man” who shocked the world when he died of AIDS in 1985. Rewind: History on Repeat Spotlights the Black LGBTQ+ experience in America with collages by Beau McCall, among other artists. At the Ross Gallery in Ft. Lauderdale thru Sept. 8th.
