David Roussève’s ‘Stardust’ at Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival


Weekend OUTJacob’s Pillow, “the dance center of the nation” (New York Times) welcomes LGBTQ individuals, couples, and families throughout the Festival, and especially during its annual Weekend OUT, which will take place August 8-10 and is sponsored by this magazine. The packed schedule of talks, performances, and events include: a performance of Stardust by REALITY, choreographed by David Roussève; a special tour about Ted Shawn and his Men Dancers; and a Sunday brunch celebrating the end of the festivities and The Review‘s 20th anniversary.

The David Roussève/REALITY ensemble explores the world of a young, gay, African-American man through arresting choreography, video, and original music by hip-hop fusion composer d. Sabela grimes and classic songs by Ella Fitzgerald and Nat King Cole. David Roussève is also profiled in the July-Aug 2014 issue of The Review, so stay tuned.
